Students are further developing their methods of cookery knowledge and skills through cooking - with pasta and rice being the focus. Spaghetti & Meatballs was the cook in Week 2 with Mexican Chicken Burrito Bowls was the practical lesson for this past week.
Their assessment this term is to design a new dish for the Stanthorpe RSL menu which has the following elements - Protein, Starch, Vegetables or Salad (at least 3 different items), Garnish. Students have to use the Design Process to design, develop, create (produce) and evaluate the dish. It is an individual assessment with an individual cook. Students will need to provide the ingredients for this assessment but they will have access to our Kitchen Food Storeroom basic ingredients to help out. Please contact your child's teacher if you require assistance with providing ingredients for their assessment.
