Year 8 Update
Ms Leigh Cusack
End of Term
As this is the final newsletter for Term 3, congratulations are in order. Often recognised as the toughest term due to illness and absence over winter and the sometimes tougher than expected assessment, Term 3 can be challenging for students and their families.
As we move into Spring and the upcoming Holidays, take a moment to recognise the growth your student has shown in gaining new skills and experience overcoming challenges the year has presented so far. Term 4 can feel like it’s moving quickly!
Full School assemblies
You may be aware that full school assemblies (FSA) are a little more formal than the usual grade assembly! Consequently, students are expected in full school uniform.
There are 4 FSA a term-Tuesdays Week 1, 3, 6 and Wk 9. Next term also has Awards Night in Week 7.
Check your student has the uniform they need for these school events.
We want them looking their best, especially when being recognised for their best work! As always, uniforms are available for those in need.
Eisteddfod
The school was represented by 6 Year 8 students at the Tenterfield Eisteddfod in Week 8. Well done, Ellie, Eryk, Jayleigh, Ruby, Declan and Christopher.
Italian Evening
Italian students and their families are warmly invited to an evening of Italian movie and food, next Thursday night (18-9-25), 4-7pm, at the school. Students have received a permission note for return, so that numbers can be confirmed.
Next Term
School returns on Tuesday 7 Oct, with a Full School Assembly. Please be prepared with Formal uniform.
